This episode is part of Amazing China’s Stories (Amazing中国故事), a documentary series that has accumulated over 100 million views. The series highlights compelling stories of Chinese individuals making an impact around the world.

This episode follows A$AP Eva, an entrepreneur who moved from Macau to New York with her husband decades ago to start a jewelry business on Canal Street. In the early years, they built the business entirely on their own—designing, crafting, and selling jewelry day and night. Despite the challenges, Eva’s determination and personality helped her stand out. When confronted by gangsters attempting to rob her store, she famously responded, “The boss isn’t here—come back another day.”

Through high-quality handmade jewelry and unmistakable charisma, Eva gradually earned the trust and admiration of some of the world’s top rappers, turning her small shop into a respected name in the hip-hop community.

As Chief Director and Executive Producer, I led the creative direction and production of the episode, overseeing storytelling, filming, and the overall execution of the project.
